Kids Disco
Date for your diary:- The next kids disco will take place on Friday 25th May, 7pm to 10pm. Music, Fun & Games with “Superstar DJ”. The kitchen will be open for meals, check the blackboards behind the bar for the weekend chefs special.
Price Increase L
Unfortunately due to spirally costs it is necessary for us to introduce a new bar tariff, this will take effect from midnight Wednesday 16th May 2012.
Please note, this is the first members price increase since March 2011, a period where we have had two budget and one brewery increase.
We continue to strive be the best value local venue, with competitive prices and regular promotions. - Thank you for your on-going support.
Players’ Lounge
With the season now in full swing, I am delighted to announce the opening of our New Worldwide Bottle & Tinny Bar, every Saturday evening throughout the course of the cricket season.
As the name suggests, there will be NO draft beers but an amazing selection of lagers, ciders, ales and wines from around the world with weekly house specials and bucket deals.
To help create a special post match atmosphere, amplified sound will be available for live sport, not to mention the IPod of the week where a selected player will provide their favourite Tuuuunes!
Football
Next week is “Super Saturday” (19th May) for two great matches. Blackpool v West Ham in the Championship Play-off Final at 3.00pm followed by Bayern Munich v Chelsea at 7.45pm in the Champions League Final. (Just £2.50 a pint/glass of wine until the 1st goal is scored for the Champions League Final)

What a start of the season…. The memory of Dave Taylors incredible innings of 330 not out last Saturday will live with all who witnessed it for many years to come. Still to be confirmed, the talk is that Dave has not only created a new British Record but potentially a World Record in 50 ov club cricket to boot…!

If the forecast is right we hope to host cricket on both days this weekend, with the T&E 2nd XI v Easton MW (1pm) at home on Sat followed by “Crickets Super Sunday” with back to back local derby’s T&E v Calmore (U15’s - 10.30am) followed by T&E XI v Langley Manor XI (2pm - 40vs) (Word has it that a certain Groundsman might be preforming.!)
T20 Cricket
If the weather Gods play ball, we will be hosting the first round of the SEPL T20 Cup next Sunday. Come along and support the lads and enjoy all the thrills of T20 cricket as T&E CC play Sparshot CC. (3.30pm start, TBC)
